Ocular Prosthetics, Inc. is a durable medical equipment provider of custom made prosthetic eyes for patients of all ages. With seven providers and four office staff, our practice has been serving the greater Southern California region for over 30 years.

We are seeking a full time Patient Authorization Coordinator for our Los Angeles office location. Salary and benefits include medical insurance, 15 days Paid Time Off and 401K. Previous experience in a medical office authorizations required. Bilingual English and Spanish preferred. Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Prior Authorizations requests and follow-ups
• Verify patient insurance and explain benefits, coinsurance and copays
• Request prescriptions from referring providers for medical services
• Request authorizations from insurance groups for medical services
• Scheduling patient appointments
• Scanning, copying, & maintaining patient electronic medical records
• Other related duties as necessary

Competencies & Job Requirements:

• 1-2 years of medical office experience
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
• Proficiency in Google Drive preferred
• Proficiency in electronic medical records preferred

Compensation:

Salary based on experience - $22-$25/hr

Paid holidays and 15 days PTO

Paid medical insurance, 401K

Most benefits eligible after 90 days
