Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician
Salary Range: $25-$35/hour
Purpose and Objectives:
· This position is responsible for maintaining the facility's functional and aesthetic condition, which includes painting, plumbing, landscaping, carpentry, and preventive maintenance and repair duties. This position requires technical knowledge and manual labor to complete work orders and routine maintenance tasks.
Job Description:
· Perform routine maintenance tasks including painting, minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs such as:
o Perform minor construction (drywall, demo, drop ceilings)
o electrical repair (110/208 V, change out of florescent ballast, LED lighting upgrades)
· Develop a working knowledge of the existing facilities and equipment including HVAC, compressor, electrical systems, facilities maintenance, and outside repairs
· Respond to emergency maintenance requests quickly and efficiently
· Inspect the facility for safety hazards, and take appropriate action
· Maintain records of maintenance activities and materials used
· Purchase necessary supplies and materials as needed
· Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and protocols in all maintenance activities
· Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
· Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
· Collaborate with outside contractors and ensure compliance of all safety regulations and protocols
· Performs other work-related duties as assigned

Experience and Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Previous experience in a similar role
· Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry practices and tools
· Able to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous manual labor
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move heavier weight necessary at times. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and/or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. However, on some instances this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary.
