FP&C Consulting has a position open for a Healthcare Project Manager II on a task with a major healthcare provider. The Project Manager will perform various tasks associated with accomplishing and delivering documentation associated with healthcare project administration both pre-and post-award. This position is currently 100% remote. The working hours are 8 am-4:30 pm Central Time, but may be subject to alteration with the approval of the healthcare client.
RequirementsPosition Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Oversee the large-scale implementation and transition project, ensuring timely and successful execution.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Provide data entry into healthcare project management systems.
  • For newly selected projects, create records for the project in the project management database, such as Microsoft Project.
  • Update records during project negotiations to include detailed project information such as technical and business contracts, addresses, budget period funding information, reporting requirements, and project scope.
  • Upon project award, finalize project information by transferring final information from the official award record.
  • Upon project modification, update the project record with new information from the official award record.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and prepare detailed reports on project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Identify and resolve project issues, ensuring project goals are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Assist in the assembly of project documentation, including project charters, implementation plans, and transition plans.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for staff as part of the implementation process.
  • Monitor and report on project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation for project tasks.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  • Draft and distribute meeting minutes and notes to participants and stakeholders -- where applicable, identify action items and important details of the meeting within the notes
Required Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent.
  • A minimum of twenty-four (24) semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organizations from an accredited degree-granting institution.
  • Two (2) years of project management experience.
  • Experience managing large-scale implementation and transition projects in a healthcare setting.
  • Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to write grammatically correct technical documents.
  • Superior interpersonal skills working with a team of healthcare professionals and managers, with an acumen in assisting with the overall management of a variety of projects.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and/or daily guidance.
  • Superior working knowledge and experience with Microsoft365 suite of tools including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Visio, and Project Management software.
Preferred Experience & Skills
  • Familiarity with Federal government healthcare programs
  • Preference for understanding of the TRICARE program
