This role will report to our office located in West Los Angeles.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and operationally-minded person to join our team as our e-commerce coordinator. This role will be at the heart of our online platform’s daily operations, managing essential tasks like product uploads and site merchandising. This person needs to be collaborative, as they will be working closely with various departments to ensure a seamless customer journey all the way through checkout.

This is a part time, non-exempt (hourly) position that will report to our office in West Los Angeles. Most weeks, this person will work up to 10 hours per week, but would need to have the flexibility to work approximately 30 hours in the week following our monthly e-commerce photoshoot.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Product Management: Set up new seasons and products in our PLM system and Shopify, coordinating collections for DTC launches. Develop a well-organized system for flawless launches.
  • Product Auditing: Conduct weekly audits of all products on the website, sweeping for out of stocks, ensuring descriptions, fit, photography, and inventory align with company standards.
  • Merchandising: Refresh collections on the website, Instagram shop, and homepage weekly to keep our digital flagship engaging.
  • Site Maintenance: Manage site navigation, homepage updates, and collection pages to maintain a seamless user experience.
  • Photography Coordination: Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to select e-commerce photography assets, adhering to deadlines set by the Head of Merchandising.
  • Photoshoots: Organize shoot lists, ensure all e-commerce shots are captured, and meticulously handle details for each photo.
  • Inventory: In collaboration with our ops and receiving team, monitor product deliveries, recuts, replenishments, and preorder timelines, ensuring accurate representation on the website.
  • Style Curation: Leverage your great taste and knowledge of relevant brands to complete the look, ensuring our product presentations are both cohesive and compelling.

Experience & Skills

  • 1 to 2 years experience in a related e-commerce role, preferably in the apparel industry.
  • Exceptional organizational skills – you can make sense of the madness, not just for yourself, but for your colleagues as well.
  • High attention to detail. Your instinct is to leave no stone unturned so every specific is correct and thought through.
  • Customer-centric approach with a commitment to continuously enhancing the online shopping experience.
  • Great taste and familiarity with relevant brands – you’re able to effectively complete the look for compelling product presentations.
  • Analytical mindset focused on data-driven decision making.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; can patiently and effectively communicate with a diverse and multicultural group of peers across time zones and continents.
  • You believe that feedback is a gift; you can receive and grow from feedback, and you’re comfortable sharing thoughtful feedback to others as needed
  • Nimble, scrappy and adaptable with a high sense of urgency. Can thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment that required multi-tasking, including pitching in to support other persons and teams
  • A positive, can-do attitude. You’re not deterred by minor setbacks and are able to swiftly overcome ambiguity
  • Will consistently cultivate a culture of inclusion where all team members feel a sense of belonging and can bring their authentic selves to work
  • Proficiency in Shopify or a similar e-commerce platform.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office including Excel, and other project management programs

Compensation

  • We estimate the hourly rate for this role to be $28.00 to $35.00 per hour. The upper end of this range is reserved for those whose experience is extensively aligned to the business needs. This role’s level, job title and corresponding pay rate will be determined by the selected candidate’s professional experiences and related skill sets.
