About Us:

Rise Against Suicide is a 501(c)(3) Colorado-based non-profit organization whose mission is to help youth at risk of suicide by removing the financial and social barriers to treatment, enabling them to find hope and healing. Rise Against Suicide funds mental health therapy sessions for at-risk youth struggling with suicidal ideation in the geographic areas included in Boulder Valley School District and St. Vrain Valley School District. The Role:

We are seeking an Events and Administrative Coordinator who will assist the Development Director with the coordination, planning and preparation of Rise’s two annual events (Holiday Star Program between November and December and Emerge 5K event in May 2025). Additionally, the Events and Administrative Coordinator will help oversee all administrative processes in place to regularly manage updates to the donor database and process donations accurately and timely. The Events and Administrative Coordinator will report to the Development Director. 

Responsibilities:

The roles and responsibilities of the Events and Administrative Coordinator include and are not limited to: 

  • Assist the Development Director with the logistical planning, coordination and event execution of Rise’s fall and spring events as assigned.
  • Lead outreach of securing local businesses to participate in Rise’s annual Holiday Star Program as well as securing auction items from local businesses to participate in Rise’s annual Emerge 5K event. This will include following up, tracking, and collecting items as needed. 
  • Lead the coordination of Holiday Star Program’s on-site setup and breakdown of giving trees.
  • Coordinate all necessary materials are secured for Holiday Star Program and Emerge 5K.
  • Assist with pulling reports through the database for Development Director, Bookkeeper and Executive Director.
  • Attend and support community fundraising events which are benefiting the organization.
  • Support the Development Director with donor correspondence and thank you letters, assembling and preparing materials for the event, assisting with maintaining event expenses such as receipts and updating budgets, as well as perform other tasks assigned by the Development Director.
  • Support with any additional tasks that the Development Director may need assistance with.

Requirements That Will Make You Successful in This Role:

  • Demonstrated team player with strong collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to take initiative with projects to work both independently and with fellow colleagues.
  • Experience with supporting, planning, and assisting with events.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM database.
  • Excellent reading, writing and grammar skills.
  • Proficient in Google’s suite of products or is willing to learn.
  • Exceptional skills in the areas of organization, attention to detail, time management, ability to manage multiple tasks, define and set priorities and problem solve.
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings, as needed.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $25 an-hour
  • 25-30 hours a week, based on needs
  • Paid holidays and sick leave
  • This is an annual contract with the possibility to extend

Work Environment:

  • In office on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am-4:30pm and remote when needed.
  • Summer Fridays in June and July
