We are a MOBILE outpatient clinic providing Occupational Therapy services to seniors in the Orange County area.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is Client Centered and Occupation Based who loves working with older adults.

Time and family are two things DTS values and we want our therapists to be able to spend the time they need with their family, so flexible scheduling is allowed to make that happen. We do not work on holidays, weekends, or evenings.

Responsibilities

Provides outstanding client care and appropriate treatment following established clinical procedures and techniques including:

· Initial evaluations and establishes appropriate long- and short-term measurable goals and plan-of-care.

· Performs appropriate and standardized assessments according to the client’s diagnosis and develop a plan of care accordingly.

· Follows through with the established plan of care for each client.

· Provides appropriate occupation based, client centered treatment following established procedures and techniques, and utilizes best practice and evidence-based practice.

· Maintains the highest level of client confidentiality.

Provides documentation for all evaluations, treatments, home programs, re-evaluations, re-assessments, and discharges in compliance with regulatory, licensing, payer, accrediting and company guidelines.

Maintains exceptional client, healthcare provider, and staff relationships.

Demonstrates excellent time management skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Coordinates scheduling of clients for evaluations and treatment in coordination with clients and other staff.

Practices OT consistent with the AOTA Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

Supervises any COTA in accordance with industry standards.

Maintains professional license, and malpractice/general liability insurance and provides current copy to owner each year.

Maintains up-to-date techniques and trends in occupational therapy.

Reports all client-related issues to owner.

Ensures that all equipment is maintained and in proper working condition to ensure client safety.

Assists in tracking client information – return to Dr. dates, benefit information.

Maintains compliance under:HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare and other insurances, state and federal regulation.

Attends and participates in all staff meetings and trainings.

Assists in the marketing of practice.

Works with the owner to ensure quality assurance and client satisfaction.

Meets with the team members as necessary to discuss client care and other clinical issues.

Specific tasks and other related duties as requested and/or assigned by the Owner.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication.

B.S or higher in Occupational Therapy from accredited university.

Current BLS certification.

OT license for the state of California.

1 year full-time experience as licensed Occupational Therapist preferred. Open to new grads with one level II fieldwork in geriatric setting.
