10000200 - Account Director is Hiring a Senior Director, US Payers and Specialty Pharmacy Near Wilmington, DE

This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining relationships required to achieve our business objectives and improve our strategic position with national accounts. Accountabilities:

As the Senior Director, you will lead a team responsible for achieving AZ’s sales and product access objectives within national account channels/segments. You will develop direct relationships with senior leaders at accounts, engage customers, influence various aspects within the organization, and collaborate with external customers, AZ brand teams and other functions to develop and implement patient service programs. You will also present, negotiate and execute performance contracts with various trade channels supporting the supply and access for AZ brands.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree required

- 10 years of Pharmaceutical Commercial experience

- 3 years of Market Access experience

- Success leading customer teams

- High levels of understanding of the entire national account segment/channels including payor, trade distribution network, and specialty pharmacy providers

- National Trade, Distribution, Retail, Payer, and Specialty Account management experience strongly desired

- Sales, sales leadership, field reimbursement and account management experience

- Ability to think conceptually, analytically, independently and strategically

- Knowledge of managed market dynamics and competitive landscape

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with and influence senior leaders and peers

- Demonstrated communication and platform skills

- Demonstrated leadership with project management

- Strong customer facing skills

- Strong understanding of the broader healthcare

- Demonstrated negotiating ability

- Experience with organized customers preferably at the C-Suite level

- Ability to learn and effectively communicate with customer’s detailed clinical information regarding AZ and competitive medicines

- Travel across the US to see customers and meet with HQ based teams is required

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Advanced business or science degree

- Managed Care experience is strongly desired

- National PBM and Health Plan Account management experience with proven negotiation proficiency

- Deep understanding of the Oncology and specialty care marketplace and specialty reimbursement landscape model

- Understanding of financial concepts and contracting issues including legal and best price implications

- Prior experience in sales management

- Prior experience in managed care at a pharmaceutical company or managed care organization

- Brand P&L experience
