Southern Gas Association is Hiring a Marketing and Events Coordinator Near Dallas, TX

Southern Gas Association is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and technology-centered individual to join our team as Marketing & Events Coordinator. As a key member of our marketing team, you will report directly to the VP of Operations with additional oversight from the Sr Director of Finance. You'll engage in a broad range of activities, from managing event logistics to supporting administrative tasks across the association. Your ability to navigate multiple aspects of the marketing and events spectrum will be critical, including shifting efficiently between creative endeavors, strategic initiatives, logistical challenges, and administrative duties. 

Key Responsibilities:

60% EVENT PLANNING

Manage logistics for live, and in-person events and provide project management for pre-, during and post-event activities:

· Project manage and execute events with oversight and support from the Sr. director of finance and VP of Operations

· Coordinate and execute end-to-end logistics for SGA AND GMRCs conference and events presence, such as event space reservations, display set-up, giveaway inventory management, catering and company travel & accommodations 

· Track tradeshow attendance and participation, managing the collection of assets and contacts, and facilitating appropriate follow-up

· Assist in creating a mechanism for monitoring ROI and lead generation from each attended or sponsored events

· Manage relationships with external vendors, venues, event organizers, and other parties

40% ADMINISTRATION

· Support leadership with the development and implementation of marketing and advertising campaigns, including email, social media, print, and relationship enhancements

· Assist in printing of brochures and conference material

· Assist in the programs and lead nurturing efforts for the event and conference channels

· Execute special projects and initiatives within the event department, such as dietary surveys, market research, and creative briefs.

· Order and keep track of inventory of office supplies, corporate collateral, and promotional items and work with the team to ensure appropriate stock at events to advance brand building and support sales

Education:

· Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications, recent grads welcome

Tools Used in the Job

· CRM: Association Anywhere 

· Project Management Tools: ASANA or Microsoft Project

· Microsoft Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word 

· Design: Canva Pro and Adobe Creative Suite

· Online meeting and webinar platforms: Microsoft Teams

Basic Qualifications:

· Ability to multi-task and communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing

· MS Office, Excel, a project management tool (Asana or similar) and general IT proficiency

· Strong organizational skills, good attention to detail and use of sound judgment in a fast-paced environment

· On-the-spot troubleshooting skills, critical for day-of event management

· Strong work ethic and team player mentality

· Ability to prioritize parallel projects, use time efficiently, plan, organize, and work through projects in a self-motivated manner

· Ability to lift or able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

· 0-2 years of experience in Marketing, Communications and Event Planning
