Wandering Vine at the Castle - one of the most highly respected and awarded fine dining restaurants in the Kansas City metro area - is seeking to add a server/bartender to our front of house team. The successful candidate must be an experienced professional passionate about hospitality, great food and creating an excellent experience for guests and staff in a supportive team environment.

What You Will Do:

• Take three or four server shifts and one bartender shift per week.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, making recommendations, taking orders and entering them into the POS, delivering food and drinks, cleaning and resetting tables, and overall ensuring a positive guest experience.
• Handle customer inquiries, special requests and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Educate customers about various cocktails, spirits, and wines.
• Support the other FOH teammates.

What You Will Need:

• Minimum three years restaurant front of house experience, fine dining experience and wine knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in the preparation of cocktails.
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience.
• Excellent time management and sales skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and a flexible schedule.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other staff members.
• Familiarity with hospitality and food handling regulations.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk up and down stairs, bend and stoop.
• Ability to use arms, hands and fingers to mix drinks, carry and deliver food, and clean tables.
• Fluent English oral/written skills required.

Schedule:

• Restaurant service hours: Wed – Fri 5p – 10p; Sat 10a – 10p; Sun 10a – 2p
• Average 25-30 hr work week

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
