We are seeking an Access Control Specialist to join our team at [Company Name]. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, installing, programming, and maintaining low-voltage systems in residential and commercial settings, focusing on access control, alarm systems, and fire services. The Access Control Specialist will work independently, possess strong problem-solving skills, and collaborate effectively with a remote team.
*Responsibilities:*
- Inspect low voltage systems to determine functionality
- Install and service various types of low voltage systems
- Set up cable pathway systems including cable trays, racks, J-hooks, or D-rings
- Terminate, test, label, and document cables
- Resolve client issues via phone, in person, or electronically
- Recommend hardware and software enhancements
- Program, configure, commission, and service access control systems along with fire alarm and CCTV systems
- Ensure timely project execution within allocated installation hours
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Provide clear and concise documentation of work performed
- Interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and operational manuals
- Adhere to predetermined schedules and safety protocols
- Participate in emergency after-hours service as needed
- Maintain punctuality at all locations unless otherwise communicated
- Perform any other duties as assigned
*Requirements:*
**Education:** High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
**Experience/Qualifications:**
- 1-3 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational manuals
- Familiarity with hand tools, test equipment, voltmeter usage, system design principles
- Experience with power tools for installation purposes
- Ability to detect issues in systems and possess mechanical knowledge
