Mrs Dow Jones is hiring a Sr. Senior Social Media Manager to administer, manage, and grow our social media presence which includes Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. The ideal candidate is someone who can manage and execute all aspects of our social presence, as well as act as a content partner in brainstorming and generating ideas for content. We are looking for someone who is both left and right-brained with their finger on the pulse of culture, the internet, finance, and celebrity news to grow and cultivate our community, manage a calendar, and keep it all highly organized.

As our Sr. Social Media Manager, we expect you to be data-driven as well as trend-driven. Data-driven in closely monitoring our social media metrics and performance and making strategic decisions and recommendations based on data analysis; trend-driven, speaking to the latest headlines, and social/cultural trends. You should be steeped in the latest social media technologies and trends. 

Hybrid - 3 days in the office/2 remote with flexibility for additional in-office days for special projects, shoots, and events.

Responsibilities:

• Full administration, ownership and management of @mrsdowjones’ 4 social platforms! You will be executing an existing high-level strategy and making consistent optimizations. You’ll also be facilitating everything from the day-to-day production/ planning through captioning/ publishing to fully fulfill the content calendar.
• Develop, execute, administer, and maintain a comprehensive data-driven social media calendar for all 4 of our channels that leverages trends in culture, celebrity news, financial news, and technology and consistently promote our products/ resources. 
• Develop marketing strategy within the social calendar in advance with MDJ and her extended team 
• Create & post Instagram stories 4 days a week reflective of MDJ style, aesthetic, and tone. 
• Brainstorm ideas for all 4 channels and brand pillars. This requires staying up-to-date with current technologies and trends in personal finance & the economy & our major competitors. 
• Manage our community by DMing with followers/ responding to their comments and monitoring reviews on our courses.
• Continually review @mrsdowjones' social media metrics/data to identify and build upon strengths, identify weaknesses, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Manage the freelance editors and image-makers who create content with us.

Requirements and skills:

• 4 - 6 years working in social media and/or as a Social Media Manager is a must.
• Proven experience in content creation, with a portfolio that showcases your ability to produce a range of content types (video, graphics, written)
• Proven experience creating and managing content calendars with work samples to show strategy and execution.
• Excellent storytelling and copywriting skills with the ability to engage and inspire our audience.
• Exemplary attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in video editing in app with Premiere and InShot to edit.
• Expert understanding of social media platforms and content optimization strategies.
• A motivated, self-starter attitude and work ethic with the ability to work independently and solve problems creatively and proactively.
• Passion for money, financial knowledge, and growing wealth. Knowledge of finance and/or experience working in finance is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and social media analytics tools.
