Levitt & Levitt Attorneys at Law is Hiring a Paralegal/Legal Assistant Near Chattanooga, TN
Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive paralegal to support our legal team. Ideal candidates will assist two criminal defense attorneys in day-to-day operations. This includes serving as the first point of contact, managing case files, drafting and filing legal documents, etc. NOTE: This is an approximately 6 month position. The attorneys hope to retire by January 2025. Retirement timeframe subject to change.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact/ first liaison
- Excellent communication / customer service skills
- Create, organize, and manage case files
- Assist in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars and case lists, etc.
- Conduct legal research on case law and statutes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $24.00 per hour
