Comprehensive Pain Center (CPC) is just that – comprehensive, offering conservative, medication management, and interventional means of treatment. Our mission is to manage pain in a compassionate, coordinated, multidisciplinary setting, restoring function and the best quality of life. We have a family-oriented, patient-centric pain management practice.
The Medical Assistant (MA) at CPC functions as an integral member of our interdisciplinary team, providing the highest quality of direct patient care to our patients. Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:
Taking patient vitals
In-taking patients, including medical documentation
Briefing practitioners on patient status
Preparing injections
Filling in-house medications
Operating X-RAY C-arm and other medical equipment
Interacting with patients and coordinating with other medical assistant(s).
Applicants must be:
Personable and friendly.
Punctual and responsible.
Proficiency with a computer / typing required.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Understanding of medical terminology
Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work various hours, including occasional evenings.
Medical experience / knowledge preferred but not required
*This is an excellent career starter for anyone going into the medical field. There is a well qualified medical staff willing to train and educate the MAs in not just pain management, but to better prepare them for nursing/physician assistant/medical school.
Looking for at least 1 year commitment – preference given to long-term applicant
Starting Pay: $17-$20/hr
Position Type: Regular - Full Time
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm (hours need to be flexible, as some days extend)
Background Check will be performed if hired
