We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our employee-owned company! We are an electrical contractor that works on large construction projects across the United States. The position will provide engineering expertise and support to estimating, project management, and customers as it relates to a project. You will also provide support and mentorship to other members of the engineering team and you will report directly to the Vice President of Engineering. Responsibilities Design and coordinate all power and lighting distribution systems meeting project specifications under the guidance of a Professional Engineer (PE) on staff Manage and schedule 3D modelers/2D Drafters (VDC/BIM modelers) Review, edit and write project specifications under the guidance of a PE on staff Generate and/or review production submittals against project specifications under the guidance of a PE on staff Assist in the estimating process for Electrical contractors by attending jobsite walk throughs, defining scope, and generating bill of materials Complete other tasks and duties as assigned by management Qualifications Degree in Electrical Engineering required 2-5 years minimum experience with an electrical contracting company (preferred) and/or Architectural/Engineering firm required Strong skills and proficient in Revit software required Proven experience with reviewing, editing, and writing project specifications required Experience with generating and/or reviewing production submittals against project specifications required Experience with walk throughs, defining scope and generating bill of materials required Ability to work cohesively with other departments within the company Strong problem-solving skills required If you’re looking to work for an employee-owned company where you can learn and grow, apply today!
