Summary

LoanCore is seeking a strategic and collaborative investment Analyst to join the firm based in New York City and Greenwich, Connecticut.

As the Analyst, you will be joining an experienced investment team and will report to and collaborate directly with senior origination professionals and management, focusing on the analysis, execution, and management of all new and existing real estate debt investments.

This role requires splitting time between our New York City office and our Greenwich, Connecticut office.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support investments team in all aspects of the commercial real estate loan investment process, including new investments, existing debt investments, as well as existing equity and high-yield positions in commercial real estate
  2. Perform detailed property level due diligence, financial and credit analysis
  3. Cash flow underwriting and modeling of prospective and existing investments
  4. Assist with the preparation and presentation of written credit investment memoranda
  5. Analyze and interpret basic property level financial statements and rent rolls
  6. Review legal documents and third-party reports
  7. Assist in the management of ongoing portfolio investments
  8. Build relationships and be comfortable interacting with brokers, clients, investors, third party consultants and other market participants

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree; with preferred fields of study: Real Estate, Finance/Accounting, Economics, Business Administration
  2. 0-2 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, real estate private equity, investment banking or capital markets
  3. Demonstrated interest in commercial real estate finance through university level courses, internships, or other job experiences
  4. Basic understanding of real estate finance including debt and equity structures
  5. Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook
  6. Argus experience is a plus, but not required
  7. Strong analytical, problem solving and financial modeling skills
  8. High level understanding of property operating statements for all commercial property types (e.g. hotel, office, multifamily, and self-storage)
  9. Ability to work in fast-paced environment running multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 75% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Travel to our New York and Greenwich offices is required.

Compensation

$100,000-$150,000
