Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs to ensure that our properties are in optimal condition. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as HVAC system checks, plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and carpentry work.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and property managers, prioritizing urgent issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and completed repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all maintenance procedures.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
• Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
• Participate in emergency on-call rotation as needed for after-hours support.
• Assist with property upgrades and renovations as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Ability to perform repairs and maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with tenants and team members.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with property management software.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Certifications in specific trade areas (e.g., HVAC, plumbing).
