Hoskinson Contracting is Hiring a Plumber Near Wheatland, WY

About:

We are looking for an experienced plumber to join our team at the Twin Pine Bison Ranch in Wheatland, WY. This position will work with other ranch staff to ensure the buildings on the ranch are maintained. This will include small construction projects along with building maintenance. This position will also work with other plumbers from our Gillette, WY location on larger projects at the Ranch when needed.

Job Summary:

As a Plumber with our company you will have a thorough understanding of plumbing systems and be capable of installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing components. As a You will ensure all work is performed in accordance with local plumbing codes and regulations, delivering high-quality service to our clients. You will work on both residential and commercial plumbing systems.

Key Role Responsibilities:

Installation and Repair:

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and drainage systems.
  • Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals and non-metals.
  • Locate and repair issues with plumbing systems, including leaks and clogs.

System Maintenance:

  • Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure plumbing systems operate efficiently.
  • Replace worn-out or defective parts in plumbing systems.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all plumbing work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Obtain required permits for plumbing projects as necessary

Client and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice and technical solutions.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with project teams to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present quotes and estimates for plumbing services.

Collaboration:

  • Work with other team members, including apprentices, to complete plumbing projects efficiently.
  • Coordinate with contractors and other trades on larger construction projects.
  • Mentor and train apprentices and less experienced plumbers.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Conduct quality control checks on plumbing systems and components.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Other Role Responsibilities:

  • Support other contracting departments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations and to adapt to constant change.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program.
  • Valid Journeyman Plumber license or ability to obtain required by state regulations.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a plumber, with strong understanding of plumbing systems and tools.
  • Proven track record of successful plumbing installations and repairs.

Certifications & Professional Affiliations:

  • OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.
  • Valid Drivers License

Working Environment:

  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
  • May involve working indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions.
  • Work is performed in various settings, including residential, and commercial sites
  • Physical demands include lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and working in confined spaces.
  • Must be available for on-call work and emergency repairs as needed.
