If you’re all in on making the biggest innovation in TV since color, read on!Position Summary: As the Head of Business Intelligence & Insights at Telly, you will lead the charge in transforming our data into actionable insights that drive business decisions and optimize revenue. This is a highly strategic role, blending data management, business intelligence, and strategy, giving you the opportunity to impact every aspect of Telly's growth. You will collaborate with departments across the organization, from Product and Ad Operations to Marketing and Finance, to ensure we’re leveraging data to maximize performance and meet key business objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesData Management & Business Intelligence
  • Proactively monitor KPIs within our vast dataset to identify risks and opportunities in the business.
  • Manage and prioritize data requests across the organization, ensuring alignment with business priorities and timely delivery of insights to meet our business needs.
  • Oversee and optimize the definitions and metrics used for data tracking and reporting across the company to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Standardize reporting across departments using data from the centralized data warehouse, ensuring all reports and visualizations support decision-making and timely action.
  • Design and oversee the creation of dashboards, data visualizations, and reports (primarily in Tableau) that provide clear, actionable insights to stakeholders, allowing for early identification of performance variances.
  • Project manage vendor relationships for data-related projects, ensuring timely and effective execution of scripting and development tasks.
  • Manage and maintain automated reports for multiple departments across the organization, ensuring data is provided consistently and aligned with business needs.
Strategy & Insights
  • Support the quarterly strategic planning process, including setting KPIs, leading indicators, and budgets that drive the business toward key goals.
  • Analyze user behavior and ad performance data to proactively generate insights that drive revenue optimization and improve daily usage rates.
  • Share actionable insights with management to inform how data is tracking toward quarterly KPI achievement, flagging any variances early to allow for course correction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure they are using data to drive decision-making.
  • Review department strategies from the lens of our data to provide feedback and recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of CTV ecosystems, including experience working with CTV ad inventory, programmatic advertising, and OTT platforms.
  • Expertise in programmatic advertising metrics (e.g., CPM, viewability, fill rate), and the ability to turn this data into actionable insights for revenue optimization.
  • Familiarity with ad-serving platforms, demand-side platforms (DSPs), and supply-side platforms (SSPs), particularly in the CTV space.
  • Knowledge of audience measurement data and experience with analyzing trends and extracting insights from such data.
  • Expertise in automating reporting processes and building dashboards that track KPIs in real-time with support of SW engineering team.
Preferred Experience
  • 7 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a similar role, with a focus on the digital advertising and/or media industry.
  • Proven experience working with data analytics tools (e.g. Tableau) and managing data warehouses, with a strong ability to optimize and standardize reporting processes.
  • Experience with supporting strategic planning and KPI-setting processes across all company departments.
  • Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional teams to align data-driven strategies with business objectives.
