Dynabrade Power Tools is Hiring a Sales Representative - Automotive Refinish Near Clarence, NY

Job DescriptionDescription:
The Sales Representative is dedicated to the Automotive Refinish division of Dynabrade's Sales Team. The incumbent will develop and maintain external relationships with current/potential customers and industry partners. This position works primarily with Dynabrade’s manufacturer's representatives that are focused on the Automotive Refinish market. A strategic approach is required to increase our market penetration and drive sales through both Jobbers, Warehouse Distributors, and eCommerce accounts. The territory covered is Eastern USA and Eastern Canada. This remote position operates from a home office.
Responsibilities:Sales – 50%
  • Strengthen relationships with Representative Agencies through ride-a-longs and training. Working together to add new and support existing Jobber and Warehouse distributors.
  • Attend/represent Dynabrade Trade Shows, Open Houses, and other industry events (Weekend travel required).
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize tasks within the territory.
  • Identify areas within the territory that lack proper distribution and create targets to fill those gaps.
  • Actively Dynabrade’s efforts to gain market share in the Detailing Segment.
Division Development – 30%
  • Collaborate with Global Manger – Automotive Refinish to create and execute a business plan that includes annual sales and marketing initiatives for our Manufacturer’s Representatives, Jobbers and Warehouse Distributors
  • Establish a reputation of technical expertise with the goal of drawing attendees for seminars and training opportunities.
  • Assist in developing training/seminar presentations for the Automotive Refinish Industry.
  • Identify and communicate needed product additions and be a present those needs to the Global Automotive Refinish team.
Business Administration – 20%
  • Create an annual plan that identifies sales targets and training schedules for the Agencies in your region.
  • On-going reporting (Monthly, Quarterly, or Annually) on such items as sales performance, expenses, and forecasts.
  • Maintains working and technical knowledge of all Dynabrade products and associated applications, with heavy priority given to applications within your territory. Be the Expert.
  • Stay updated on industry information, new product information, competition, and technology to continuously improve knowledge?and performance.
  • Familiar with ISO certification, quality, and production improvements we take to meet customer and other regulatory requirements, enhance customer satisfaction, and exceed product quality.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Education, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Sales experience, with a demonstrated Track Record of Sales Results.?
  • Frequent travel required, 50% travel, with a homebased/ remote office.
  • B.S. or B.A. in a related field, or equivalent technical experience of mechanical and electronic components.
  • Experience using power tools and & completing projects that require use of tools. PREFERRED.
  • Commitment to observing safety precautions in accordance with OSHA / ANSI Standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with computer literacy.
  • Well-organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and a diverse set of objectives.?
  • Goal-driven, aligned and professional, with minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Ability to work individually, in a team and in a fast-paced environment.?
