Job Overview:
We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team in an aviation oriented business. This role is ideal for a motivated and organized individual who is eager to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of Fixed Base Aviation Operation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the President in managing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and bookeeping.
- Train and develop team members, focusing on customer service, retail math, and sales techniques.
- Conduct employee orientations, ensuring new hires understand company policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Provide ongoing training and coaching to improve employee performance and customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with department heads to achieve sales targets and optimize company profitability.
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process to ensure the best candidates are selected for the team.
- Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales data and make informed decisions about inventory management and product placement.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and phone etiquette skills to effectively communicate with team members, customers, and vendors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment, adhering to company standards and health and safety regulations.
- Possess a strong understanding of management principles, including inventory control, labor management, and sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in retail management or a related field is essential.
- Proven track record of providing excellent customer service.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Multilingual skills are an asset.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
