Essential Function

Cancer registrars capture a complete summary of the history, diagnosis, treatment, and disease status for every cancer patient.

Responsibilities:

• Carries out data abstraction by gathering all patient data entered into the cancer registry, including diagnosis, staging, and course of treatment, in compliance with the Florida Cancer Data System, the American College of Surgeon Commission on Cancer (ACS CoC), and customer-specific requirements.
• Carries out professional and efficient verbal and electronic communication with coworkers, supervisors, and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years cancer registry abstracting experience in a Commission on Cancer approved cancer registry
• NCRA Certified Tumor Registrar
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
