POSITION SUMMARY: The Social Director plans, supervises and implements social events, outings, programs, and activities that are designed to meet the interests and needs of the independent component of the campus. The Social Program will be multi-faceted and reflect groups’ and individuals’ interests and needs and provide programming that focuses on the six dimensions of wellness: emotional, intellectual, physical, social, spiritual, and vocational. Through resident feedback and involvement, interest questionnaires, and staff input the Social Director will develop a well tailored program that includes, but is not limited to, themed events, educational opportunities, social functions, spiritual opportunities, day trips, cultural outings, lectures, informational meetings, and volunteer opportunities. The Social Director will develop and continually update a file of resources available in the surrounding community to utilize and enhance the programming options available to residents. The Social Director will facilitate communication and teamwork with fellow staff and focus on excellent customer service for the residents. This position also coordinates the joining of marketing events and social events under the supervision of the Executive Director.
