Distinguished, large national litigation firm is looking for experienced NORTH CAROLINA Insurance Defense or Medical Malpractice Attorney to join their CHARLOTTE team.
This is a 100% "IN OFFICE" position (it is NOT remote).
***IDEAL Candidates have 4 years experience in NC Bodily Injury Defense, Insurance Defense or Medical Malpractice**
SALARY is open for negotiation and will be evaluated based on your experience.
DUTIES: reviewing and analyzing new files from assignment by the adjuster, preparing an initial status report summarizing liability / damages and exposure, drafting pleadings, motions, issuing written discovery, answering discovery, taking and defending fact and expert witness depositions, arguing motions, attending court hearings, mediations, trials,and regularly preparing comprehensive status reports to the clients. Should have experience with expert witness depositions and preparing for same. We prefer candidates who have experience with billable hours.
BILLING: We have a far lower billable hour requirement than most insurance defense firms as our compensation is performance-driven. We prefer "quality over quantity." 1,800 hours per year for associates with bonuses starting at 1,900 hours per year. Our bonuses are substantially higher than other firms.
