Job Description
Our client, a Health Center providing affordable healthcare to the underserved and vulnerable in New York City, is hiring a Nurse Practitioner. Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to families as well as engage in health promotion activities.
• Provide care to a panel of adult patients on a continuing basis
• Evaluation and management of acute and chronic medical conditions
• Initial assessment and management of mental health conditions
• Ordering and analyzing necessary diagnostic tests using high value care principles and EBM to inform clinical decision-making
• Prescribing appropriate treatment and/or medication in an evidence-based manner and within the scope of licensure
• Advising patients on treatment recommendations, lifestyle modifications, and age-appropriate preventive screenings
• Referring patients for consultant services when necessary.

Requirements:

• Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner
• A master's degree is required
• Successful completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program is required
• Current and valid NYS license
• DEA certificate
• BLS
• Infection control certificate
• AAHIVM certification and/or LGBT health certification is a plus.
