Gunvor Group is Hiring a Collections Specialist Near Houston, TX
Contract Type:Time Type:Job Description:Gunvor is seeking a motivated individual who is ready to apply their knowledge in a fast-paced, real-world environment. The individual will support the deal life-cycle process with the delivery of accurate and timely settlements preparation, invoice issuance, invoice receipt, and review of settlement transactions, The individual will act as a reliable point of contact for routine internal and external inquiries and liaise with traders, operators, risk, finance, contracts, accounting and tax departments on a daily basis.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare statements of outstanding receivables
- Follow-up with customers with past due receivables invoices
- Agree payment dates with customers
- Obtain and document customer reasons and disputes
- Coordinate with invoicing, operations, trading, tax and other team to resolve disputes
- Issue correction and offset invoices if needed
- Monitors past due receivables and communicate issues to other departments
- Provide invoice and payment information to other departments
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field
- Three years or more experience with AR and collections processes
- Experience with vessel, barge, pipeline and railcar invoicing preferred
- Experience with cargo or commodity invoicing preferred
