Job Position: Shipping & Receiving
Direct Report: Production Manager
Job Responsibilities mainly consist of, but not limited to:
- Setup and ship parcels and freight globally
- Count and receive incoming product
- Familiarize yourself with current inventory
- Work closely with computers while performing QC and shipping tasks
- Create new inventory bins and labels as needed
- Prepare products for packaging and shipment
- Build crates if needed and palletize shipments if required
- Read engineering drawings and revisions
- Use calipers, gauges, and production parts to check fit and tolerance
- Document quality control issues and report it to the purchasing agent
- Operate a forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
- Communicates project status updates to management
- Fill in on operating equipment when needed
- Completes tasks assigned by management in a timely manner
- Performs all other duties as directed by the production manager and/or management
- Follow OSHA and UL requirements withing industry and APG Vision business standards during the development of new products
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment
Standing/Walking/Stooping/Bending/Lifting: Frequently (70%)
Sitting: Occasionally (30%)
Normal Working Hours: Normal business hours are 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Some overtime can be expected when project development needs to be expedited.
Other Requirements:
Education: Highschool or GED (Associates degree or bachelor’s preferred) or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 3 years’ experience in shipping and receiving role or related experience
Communication: Ability to read/write at a high school level. Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, etc.
Visual acuity: Ability to adjust visual focus between close work, distant objects, and 3D.
Hearing acuity: Ability to comprehend mechanical and electrical devices in operation.
Software: Advanced working knowledge and understanding of QuickBooks inventory management preferred. Basic to intermediate working knowledge and understanding of Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.
