Slifer Smith & Frampton is seeking a Real Estate Accountant to manage accounts payable and receivable for operations across multiple markets. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves working closely with vendors, real estate brokers, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial processing and reporting. Responsibilities Include:

• Input and process weekly pre-coded accounts payable and agent AR billing
• Communicate with vendors and internal personnel about invoices and payment schedules
• Obtain and maintain appropriate tax information from vendors and prepare year end 1099s
• Communicate with agents and work with Closing to resolve issues pertaining to agent AR statements
• Review vendor statements for reasonableness and research past due balances
• Prepare bank account reconciliations for management review
• Work with Senior Accountant, VP of Finance, and Closing team to process daily commission checks
• Work with Senior accountant and VP of Finance to reconcile GL accounts
• Assist Accounting department with monthly and year end closing
• Assist with preparation of audit schedules annual audit
• Assist in training SSF personnel outside of accounting department on accounting software
• Serve as backup for Senior Accountant and cross-train to develop accounting skills
• Miscellaneous duties as needed

Location: On-site at our award-winning office - Slifer House - Avon, CO

Pay Rate: $31 - $35 / hour

Schedule: 4 days per week (30-32 hours per week)

Minimum Requirements:

• 3 years office experience
• 3 years accounting software experience
• Proficient in Excel and Word
• Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Ability to work as a team and across all departments
• Desire and aptitude to learn new software and improve existing processes
