RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Responsible for network design and future infrastructure capacity planning
● Operate as team lead on all cybersecurity incident responses and initiatives, including policy
development and compliance
● Coordinate, oversee, and provide capacity to the network administrator and system administrator
● Orient Technology Department staff and other users on network operations
● Connect, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot communications software and equipment, network
infrastructure and applications
● Provide timely and effective resolutions for all network-related problems and inquiries
● Provide high-level support, troubleshooting, and training on IT matters and problems
● Monitors network and respective resources for security breaches, violations, alarms, and utilization
● Ensure accurate network asset management and an adequate inventory of spare equipment
● Maintain open and fluid communication and collaboration with members of the technology team
● Maintain records of work performed, problems reported, and inventory of assets by keeping detailed
records in the Help Desk and asset management systems
● Ensure proper implementation of district standards for legal software usage, virus protection, uniform
software configurations, etc. and report any inconsistencies to management
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Extensive professional training and/or experience in the installation, configuration, upgrading,
administration, and support of servers, firewalls, switches, routers and routing protocols, WAN
connectivity, wireless connectivity, security solutions, backup storage, and backup power systems
● Extensive Professional training and/or experience in the installation, configuration, upgrading,
troubleshooting and support in all or most of the following: Microsoft Windows Server including services
such as IIS, DHCP, and DNS, Microsoft Exchange Server, VMware, G Suite administration, Products
and solutions from Fortinet, Barracuda, Meraki, and Skyward or similar student information systems
● Driver’s license with a clean driving record
● Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and customer service orientation
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
● Minimum Bachelor’s degree or five years experience in the Network Administration field, with a strong
preference for candidates with leadership experience
● Certificate(s) in industry-recognized cybersecurity areas preferred
● Excellent written and oral communication skills with a customer service orientation
