JB Roofing, A Tecta America Company is currently searching for a commercial roofing foreman at our Akron, OH locationThis position involves working with existing supervisors, estimators and supervising roofing service and maintenance crews. This position is responsible for the training of production and maintenance workforce and completion of assigned jobs.
Commercial Roofing Foreman Responsibilities
- Attends training meetings per managements request.
- Performs job set-up and oversees small jobs.
- Communicates with customers and maintains good working relationships when required.
- Possesses a working knowledge in detail drawings and specifications.
- Understands warranty terms and requirements to install warranty work.
- Acquires knowledge in the basics in associated sheet metal, including measurements and installation. (Drip edge, Gravel Stop, Coping, Counter flashings, Terminations.)
- Completes all jobs and prepares for inspection.
- Communicates with Project Manager concerning needs to expand scope, or enhance, modify design changes.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Clean motor vehicle record, and Background Check. Must not be afraid of heights and must be able to position extension ladder to access roof for roof inspection/survey
- Ability to perform assigned task daily through completion with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner, promoting the organization in a positive and productive discipline which will serve as an example to others
- Other critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution, multi-tasking, follow-through skills to bring tasks to closure in a timely manner, and having a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks in a timely manner.
- STARTING PAY RATE OF $24-29 /HR.

Responsabilidades Del Capataz Comercial De Techos
- Retiro y instalacion de todo tipo de sistemas de techos, incluidos: Bur, betun modificado, TPO, EPDM, PVC y pendientes.
- Mantenimiento y reparacion de techos
- Relizar el trabajo de acuerdo con las especificaciones del trabajo y las pautas de seguridad
- Mantener una Interaccion professional con todos las clients
- Administrar el equipo de techado comercia, incluye completar el papeleo requerido, asistir a las reunions segun sea necesario ayudar en la capacitacion de los miembros del equipo segun sea necesario.
- Seguimiento del inventario y presentacion de informes diarios.
- 3-5 aos de experiencia liderando equipos de techos comercial.
- La experiencia con todo tipo de sistemas de techos comercial.
- Una licencia de conducer valida
- Iniciativa,Integridad, & Adaptabilidad
- Debe poder submit escaleras, agacharse, 7 arrodillarse regularmente
- Debe poder levanter mas de 50 libras regularmente
- Debe ser capaz de trabajar a diferentes alturas y durante una variedad de condiciones climaticas
- Entorno fisico:Ambiente de campo con exposicion a alturas, ruido y temperaturas.
- Esfuerzo fisico:Estar de pie mucho tiempo, caminar, subir escaleras. Levantamiento frecuente que no exceda las 50 libras.
