General InformationHitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Specialist to join its team. This position will be responsible for helping to fulfill customer orders. This position will be responsible for most of the /shipping/receiving dock processes.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare documents needed for shipping e.g. packing slips, BOLs, commercial invoices, etc.
- Coordinate with delivery services to book and track shipments as needed
- Verify and store incoming material in proper locations to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Responsible for ensuring shipped materials are packaged correctly and easily identifiable for both internal and external customers.
- Follow all safety and work procedures to pull, inspect, package and label customer orders from various storage locations to meet shipment schedule and customer demand.
- Continuously train on new equipment and processes within the shipping department and based upon additional responsibilities.
- Must be able to read and comprehend safety procedures, work instructions, drawings and shipment documentation.

- Minimum 5 years of shipping experience required.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to multi-task, and typing skills are required.
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office strongly desired.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, business, or closely related field preferred.
