Confidential is Hiring a Dispatcher Near Albany, NY
We are looking for a reliable Dispatcher at our Albany location. You will be responsible for the ongoing communication with our company vehicles providing them with updates to their pickup and deliveries. The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed at all times. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision. The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information.
Responsibilities
- Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
- Receive and dispatch orders for both pickup and deliveries
- Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
- Monitor the route and status of drivers in order to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
- Assist the drivers in problem resolution, accident reporting and navigation
Skills
- Proven experience as a dispatcher or relevant position
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA Regulations
- Geographic knowledge of all service areas
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
- Active listener with excellent communication skills
- Sound judgment and critical thinking
- High school diploma
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $25.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
