Hyatt Place Kent Narrows and Marina is Hiring a Corporate Bookkeeper Near Allentown, PA

Job Summary
The Bookkeeper for our Hotel Management Group will oversee the financial operations of multiple properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting and Human Resource standards, Payroll and Corporate property billbacks This role is key in supporting the financial health and success of the hotel group by providing critical insights and maintaining robust financial controls.

Essential Job Functions

· Manages Bi weekly payroll submissions for company.

· Manages accounts within TKO Employment Services, sending out all direct billing, and recording payments.

· Reconciles monthly Medical billing, Worker Compensation and 401K.

· Reconciles and balances bank accounts weekly.

· Establishes and maintains accounting practices and control procedures in conjunction with hotel and corporate policies and procedures.

· Completes special assignments as requested.

· Performs all other related duties as directed by corporate accounting.

· Ensures compliance with the state sales tax, innkeepers, liquor and labor laws.

· Submits the required reports to corporate staff and owners.

· Analyze financial data of operations, in order to advise hotel management and to assist in maintaining an efficient operation.

· Prepare forecasts and budgets as required (annual, revised annual, monthly, etc.)

· Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff

· Oversee/Manage Hotel Brand Redemption Reconciliation

· Assist with end of month closing procedures.

Position Requirements:

· Minimum of 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Accounting, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a minimum of 3 years hotel accounting experience.

· Experience with Hotel PMS systems

· Experience with Accounting software; Quick Books, M3

· Hotel brand experience – Hyatt/Hilton a plus

· Must have strong organizational, time management and mathematical skills

· Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.

· Must have knowledge of departmental operations.

· Must have knowledge of computers and training techniques.

· Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.

· Must have knowledge of business law; federal, state and local taxes; and Department of Labor regulations.

· Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating situations and in making sound decisions.

· Must have strong interpersonal skills and cordial behavior

· Flexible working hours

· Able to lift at least 25 pounds

· Command of the English language, written and verbal

· Must be able to operate a calculator
