Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Project Estimator to join our team. The Project Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects. Will be working with Property Insurance claims and remodeling. Must have experience with Xactimate and Xactremodel certified or willing to obtain certification.
Duties:
- Analyze project drawings and specifications to estimate costs for labor, materials, and equipment
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project scope and requirements
- Utilize Xactimate to prepare detailed cost estimates
- Conduct on-site visits to assess construction sites and gather relevant information for accurate estimates
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for project components
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals outlining pricing, timelines, and project deliverables
Requirements:
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management
- Proficiency in using Xactimate estimating software
- Strong knowledge of construction management practices and procedures
- Ability to interpret construction blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately price projects based on specifications and requirements
