Altoona Area School District is Hiring an Athletic Trainer Near Altoona, PA
Altoona Area School District is currently seeking an Athletic Trainer responsible for taking care of injured athletes during practices and games; providing injury prevention and recognition, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation, and overseeing the purchase, distribution, and collection of athletic equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned)
- Assist with coordination and delivery of athletic training and sports medicine services for Altoona Area School District
- Travel as needed with team to away contests.
- Maintain proper medical records in accordance with all governmental guidelines.
- Assist with maintaining athletic training facility and inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Physical effort required for practice/game preparation and during emergency care management and rehabilitation
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING
· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the appropriate field of study
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
· PA Athletic Training State License
· NATABOC Certification
· CPR/Emergency Cardiac Care Certification
· Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
WORK-RELATED KNOWLEDGE
· Must be able to prioritize work and be self-directed.
· Must be able to communicate professionally in all settings.
· Knowledge of normal anatomy and medical terminology.
· Must be able to react calmly and effectively during emergency situations.

Commensurate with experience
