- Process medication orders including drug dispensing, compounding, and distribution with accuracy and efficiency
- Deliver optimal pharmacotherapy that is safe and efficacious
- Clinical drug monitoring/consultation
- Collaborate with other health care professionals to manage patient drug therapies
- Daily reactive and targeted proactive medication regimen reviews within designated area(s)
- Quality assurance and improvement
- Provide drug information support or drug teaching upon request
- Willingness to precept pharmacy students and/or pharmacy residents
- Promote a positive work environment that contributes to a team focused work unit
- All in accordance with applicable state and/or federal statutes and established hospital policies and procedures.
- Supervises the activities of supportive personnel.
- Acts as Pharmacist-In-Charge in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy when so designated.
- Graduate of an AACP-accredited college of pharmacy
- Registered Pharmacist, State of Texas (or eligible by reciprocity or board examination)
- Prior hospital pharmacy practice experience, or ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy practice and/or advanced pharmacy degree
