NewTackLLC is Hiring an Assembly Technician Near Ann Arbor, MI

We are seeking an exceptional assembly technician who will be invested in various production processes for manufacturing our filters. This job is for a motivated person who is willing to learn, understand, contribute, and take responsibility for several production tasks. This job is not for those looking for a single focused task.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Follow work instructions and gather parts using a bill of materials
  • Prepare and maintain workstations
  • Use hand tools and machines to perform assembly steps
  • Adjust machines and hand tools as necessary to achieve the required specifications
  • Monitor quality of materials and subassemblies at every manufacturing step
  • Maintain production documentation
  • Track material utilization and take action when stock is low
  • Be responsible for the safety of the work environment
  • Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.

Minimum requirements include:

  • Must have at least one year experience in hands-on assembly and production of manufactured goods
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions
  • Ability to lift loads up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction
  • Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometer, caliper, microscope, digital scale, timer, etc.
  • Ability to use sharp cutting tools
  • Be a mechanically adept person
  • High School Degree or equivalent.

Desirable pluses include:

  • Experience in an ISO or GMP production environment
  • Experience manufacturing one or more of the following products: medical devices, disposables, filters, and plastic components
  • Experience with one or more of the following production environments: plastics or polymer processing, clean room manufacturing
  • Experience with one or more of the following disciplines: quality assurance, six sigma, supply chain, metrology.

Job Type: Temp-to-hire

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
