Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and the ability to perform venipuncture procedures accurately and efficiently.
Duties:
- Perform venipuncture and skin puncture on patients for blood collection
- Label blood samples accurately and ensure timely delivery to the laboratory
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Verify patient information and maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist in the collection of other specimens as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures
Skills:
- Proficiency in anatomy and physiology knowledge
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Ability to take vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques for specimen collection
- Experience in venipuncture procedures
- Understanding of laboratory procedures and specimen handling
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on comfort and professionalism
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
