JOB DESCRIPTION: BOOKKEEPER

Job Title: Bookkeeper

Reports To: Executive Director

Customary Work Days:

Customary Work Hours: Part-Time(20-24 hrs)

Hourly Wage: $25.00

Position Summary: Provides a variety of bookkeeping and accounting functions including distribution and reconciliation of cash reimbursements. Independent judgement is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Recording Financial transactions using QuickBooks software

· Ensures financial records of the organization are accurate.

· Reconciles or notes and reports discrepancies found in records.

· Complies with Federal, State, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

· Receives, records, and banks checks and vouchers.

· Distribution and Reconciliation of cash reimbursements

· Maintains and updates filing system for the department

· Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different request; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles

· A minimum of two year’s bookkeeping experience using QuickBooks

· Proficient using a PC in a windows environment

· Intermediate experience with the Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, & Excel

· Two or more years of administrative experience

· AIPB (American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers), NACB (National Certification of Certified Public Bookkeepers) or similar certification.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
