Summary:
The Regional Quality Manager provides metallurgical, thermal spray, heat treating, and quality system assistance to the central ADE region under the direction of the Vice President of Operations. This role is responsible for the systems to ensure that products/materials/services supplied/provided to customers meet the contractual requirements established by customers and procedures. They have the organizational freedom to identify problems related to quality and correct them, initiate action for their correction, or stop any work or activity that violates the established quality standards.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Bodycote Quality System in compliance with 3rd party and customer specifications. A high priority is placed on NADCAP and AS9100 standards.
  • Assist the sites as requested in the implementation of the Bodycote Quality System (BQS) and/or auditing as requested.
  • Act as a technical expert within Bodycote ADE on 3rd party and customer specifications and requirements, as well as guidance to sites on compliance.
  • Review customer proposals, requests for quotations, and/or purchase orders, including changes, to determine quality requirements, and ensure their input into internal planning.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
  • This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
  • Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with ten years of experience in Quality Control and plant leadership.
  • Requires experience and practical knowledge of commercial heat treatment of aerospace alloys including steel, aluminum, titanium, nickel, copper, etc. Should be considered an expert in the industry.
  • Minimum of 10 years of quality or technical experience in the Aerospace industry including successful experience as Quality Manager of an aerospace heat treat facility.
  • Certified Quality Auditor in AS9100 and ISO9001. Familiar with NADCAP
  • Ability to travel with minimal notice to meet business needs.
