Pay range: $60,000 to $89,000 (depending on experience)
Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT Network Administrator to join our smart electronics manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in network management and system administration, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and 5S methodology. This role requires flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment and support various shifts as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Design and Management: Design, implement, and maintain the facility’s network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- System Administration: Administer and support critical systems, including ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and other integrated platforms essential for smart electronics manufacturing.
- Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve network, hardware, and software issues to minimize production downtime.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to and enforce safety protocols, GMP, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements, and 5S standards to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and engineering departments, to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.
- Security: Implement and maintain robust network security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with industry standards.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor network performance and system health, generating regular reports and metrics to support operational efficiency.
- User Support: Provide technical support and training to staff, addressing IT-related issues and ensuring efficient use of network resources.
- Flexible Schedule: Adapt to varying work schedules, including on-call duties and potential off-hours support, to meet operational demands.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the electronics industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SAP, MES, and other ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
- Experience with network security principles and practices.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud services.
- Knowledge of 5S methodology and GMP requirements.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network , or equivalent are preferred.
