Job Title: IT Network AdministratorWorksite: Onsite
Location: Arlington, TX
Status/ Pay type: Full time equivalent, salary (exempt)
Reports to: IT manager
Direct reports: Open
Pay range: $60,000 to $89,000 (depending on experience)
Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT Network Administrator to join our smart electronics manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in network management and system administration, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and 5S methodology. This role requires flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment and support various shifts as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Network Design and Management: Design, implement, and maintain the facility’s network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • System Administration: Administer and support critical systems, including ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and other integrated platforms essential for smart electronics manufacturing.
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve network, hardware, and software issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to and enforce safety protocols, GMP, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements, and 5S standards to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and engineering departments, to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.
  • Security: Implement and maintain robust network security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with industry standards.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor network performance and system health, generating regular reports and metrics to support operational efficiency.
  • User Support: Provide technical support and training to staff, addressing IT-related issues and ensuring efficient use of network resources.
  • Flexible Schedule: Adapt to varying work schedules, including on-call duties and potential off-hours support, to meet operational demands.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the electronics industry.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SAP, MES, and other ERP systems.
    • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
    • Experience with network security principles and practices.
    • Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud services.
    • Knowledge of 5S methodology and GMP requirements.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network , or equivalent are preferred.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Flexible and adaptable to changing work schedules and priorities.
  • Safety Commitment: Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment through adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage.
