ResponsibilitiesA Kforce client is seeking a new Controller in Ashburn, VA. This family-owned and operated company has 8 locations with more in the pipeline. They are looking for a Controller to oversee the organization's daily accounting functions and manage cash flow. Job Description:

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.

- Controller will oversee the organization's daily accounting functions
- Managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable departments
- Overseeing and approving Bi-weekly payrolls for all locations
- Bank reconciliation/credit card reconciliation for all locations
- Working with General Managers and Office Managers at multiple locations to implement the organization's financial policies
- Monitoring the cash flow situation regularly and reporting to the CEO/Owner
- Coordinating and preparing internal financial statements
- As a Controller, you will manage the budget process
- Ensuring the annual Property Tax Returns are filed in a timely manner and licenses are renewed as per regulations
- Maintain Fixed Asset Schedule for all locations
- Ensure inventory reports are generated on timely basis by all locations
- Maintain loan/line of credit records
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- Overall experience in accounting for 10 or more years
- Experience working as a Controller for 3-4 years
- Experience in managing payroll
- Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
- Working knowledge of Business and Sales tax regulations and compliance reporting
- Proficiency in MS Windows applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- QuickBooks Online Advanced, Acculynx, ADP RUN experience preferred
- Understanding of financing process for house improvement projects preferred
