THE POSITIONOur roster has an opening with your name on it
We’re looking for a mid-level Content Designer to join our UX & Design practice in Atlanta and join a growing team that owns all interface copy and content strategy for FanDuel’s products.
The Content Design team works on innovative new features and products while building upon existing experiences that our customers love, maintaining our best-in-class status. Through clear, informative writing, FanDuel content designers help build intuitive products and experiences that engage fans, inspire trust, and are easy to understand.
This role is highly collaborative. Applicants should be confident, experienced, and comfortable branching out to widen the scope of work and identify problems/areas of improvement. The ideal candidate has a knack for building relationships with stakeholders across the company and finding opportunities for Content Design to shine through high-impact, strategic initiatives.
THE GAME PLANEveryone on our team has a part to play
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Contributes to the completion of team projects and goals, and responsible for projects with smaller scope and lower levels of ambiguity
  • Completes routine tasks with minimal direction, with work assigned and overseen by their manager
  • Receives new assignments with general instruction from their manager and team guidance
  • Seeks out and integrates direction on which approach(es) to take with a new piece of work
  • Consistently solicits feedback from the team, manager, and stakeholders, and uses it to inform the work
  • Works on projects of low-to-medium complexity, building understanding and experience for how to solve more complex problems
  • Good knowledge of standard processes
  • Regularly contributes to meetings
  • Develops influencing skills, and influences by providing feedback
  • Learning to identify areas of improvement in their own processes
  • Receives coaching in technical and behavioral skills
  • Has contributed to some shipped projects in previous role(s) and demonstrated the relevant behaviors and functional knowledge during those projects
Demonstrate expertise in the content design craft:
  • Advanced knowledge of spelling and grammar
  • Basic knowledge of information hierarchy
  • Can make minimal-to-moderate edits to existing writing guidelines, possibly building out new sections
  • Developing skills to promote content design within the organization
  • Basic understanding of full context of design flow or flows when writing
  • Basic knowledge of design and collaboration platforms
  • Basic ability to collaborate on user research projects and use findings to drive language choices in the product
THE STATSWhat we’re looking for in our next teammate
  • You’re a strong writer with 2 years of experience in a content design, content strategy, or UX writing role. You see your work through a design thinking lens and can offer a range of solutions for any given content design problem.
  • You’re developing skills to evangelize content design within an organization.
  • You understand how to grasp the full context of flow(s) when writing copy.
  • You have knowledge of design and collaboration platforms such as Figma, and you can collaborate on user research projects and use findings to drive copy decisions.
