DescriptionThe Finance Manager, reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager, oversees all staff within the Finance Department to ensure tasks are completed accurately and promptly. This role encompasses various accounting activities, including general ledger preparations, financial reporting, year-end audit preparations, and treasury management. The Finance Manager will also handle debt management, uphold investment policies, contribute to strategic financial planning and analyses, and support budget and forecasting activities. While the position operates within established guidelines, it requires adaptability to significant variations in a dynamic work environment. Job Duties: Financial Strategy:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's long-term goals and objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic planning. Financial Planning and Budgeting:
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor budget performance throughout the year.
  • Forecast financial trends, variances, and financial implications of business decisions. Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the executive team and board of directors, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks by implementing effective risk management strategies and internal controls.
  • Monitor changes in financial regulations and adapt company policies accordingly. Cash Management:
  • Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity needs are met and investments are optimized.
  • Oversee banking relationships and treasury functions. Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support in their detail oriented development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Financial Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate audits and reviews with external auditors.
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible detail oriented experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to form and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
