Job Title: Traveling Heavy Equipment Mixer Technician
Location: Northern Colorado (Nationwide Travel)
Job Type: Full time/ Permanent
Salary $24 - $32 / hr.

Job Summary:

As a Heavy Equipment Mixer Technician, you will work autonomously and take on a variety of tasks, including:

  • Mounting mobile concrete mixer bodies to heavy truck chassis.
  • Installing, fitting up, and tuning of hydraulic system components.
  • Connecting and testing 12V electrical systems and verifying CAN bus control systems.
  • Programming truck chassis ECMs.

You'll have the opportunity to work indoors during the winter and receive paid training to help you succeed in this role.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Mechanically mount large mobile machinery to truck chassis.
  • Install and connect machine hydraulic systems to truck mount PTOs.
  • Interface 12V electrical components to truck chassis electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and program truck ECMs (preferred but not required).
  • Troubleshoot and repair 12V DC systems and hydraulic systems.
  • Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Travel up to 75% of the month (approximately 15 hotel nights per month).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong background in 12V mobile electrical systems, mobile hydraulic systems, and general mechanical skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow with our company.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment and experience in the concrete industry (preferred but not required).
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid).
  • Basic PC navigation skills.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday, 40 hours per week (6:30 am – 5:00 pm), with Fridays off.
  • Overtime opportunities to meet weekly and monthly deadlines.
  • When the individual is not traveling, they would be working in our options department in the Colorado shop optioning out mixer trucks with color feeders, fiber choppers, hot water systems, strobe lights, night light packages, camera systems, (bells & whistles type stuff) prior to shipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
