Our three early childhood education brands are Childcare Network, Sunrise Preschools, and My Small Wonders. We proudly provide quality care and developmental education to over 30,000 children aged six weeks to twelve years. 

We have a great opportunity for an HR Director to join our growing company!

The HR Director will manage HR operations, including to the development and implementation of HR strategies, overseeing employee relations, compensation, recruiting, and onboarding. This position administers human resources programs and policies to reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce. Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior management. Establishes departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.

This position can be located in San Antonio or Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

Strategic and Operational HR Leadership:

  • In conjunction with the VP of HR, develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Advise and collaborate with senior management on organizational development, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Drive initiatives to improve overall employee experience, enhance employee engagement, culture, and retention.

Compensation Management:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of compensation / total rewards program.
  • Ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures are in place to attract and retain top talent.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to maintain the company's competitive edge in compensation
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements regarding compensation.

HR Business Partner Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the HR Business Partner team to deliver effective HR solutions across all affiliate organizations.
  • Act as a senior advisor to HR Business Partners and provide guidance on complex HR issues.
  • Partner with department heads to understand their HR needs and develop tailored solutions
  • Drive initiatives to improve HR processes and enhance service delivery

Recruiting:

  • Oversee and improve recruitment, selection, onboarding, and workforce planning processes.
  • Develop retention strategies to reduce turnover and improve employee satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement employee programs, including performance management, engagement initiatives, training, and development.

Employee Relations:

  • Provide guidance on employee relations issues and conflict resolution
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or any other related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, including significant experience in managing a team and HR business partnering.
  • Proven track record in a senior HR leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation practices, recruiting, and employment law.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience with HRIS and other HR-related software.
  • Business acumen partnered with attention to the human element.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standard.
  • Ability to foster teamwork.
  • Detail oriented and ability to meet deadlines.
