The Technical Sales Support Specialist supports GTS's sales team in designing and quoting technology solutions for Audio/Visual, Datacenter, and Public Safety applications. The Technical Sales Specialist will be responsible for the design, bill of materials, and sales proposals of server, storage, audio-visual, and rugged computing solutions to enable a best-in-class user experience for GTS’ customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepare technical solutions and customer sales quotes for the Account Executive team to present to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Leverage industry best practices to design and quote rugged mobility offerings, including mobile computing devices, LTE routers, mounting solutions, in-car and fixed video systems, and related accessories.
• Leverage industry best practices to design and quote datacenter offerings, including networking, server, storage, and software solutions.
• Leverage industry best practices to design and quote audio-visual offerings.
• Understand GTS’ contracts and pricing structure by product/service type and manufacturer.
• Maintain relevant industry and manufacturer-specific certifications.
• Research, identify, and recommend new hardware, software, and applications to support future and/or complex public safety fleet needs.
• Design and refine solutions through customer interaction and awareness of market conditions and pricing.
• Attend product trainings.
• Interact with outside sales via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on products or services.
• Supported customer accounts and product lines are assigned by management and subject to periodic review and reassignment.
• Account for possible project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources, and scope.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Minimum of three years of rugged computing, datacenter, or audio-visual product experience.
• Familiarity with best-in-class manufacturer offerings in the information technology industry.
• Attention to detail when building out complex bill-of-materials and sales quotes.
• Excellent communication skills including active listening.
• Service-oriented mindset and ability to resolve customer issues.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, or technology fields.
• At least three years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
