We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our client's team in Baltimore, MD. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for our client's employees. Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 500 employees
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, benefits, and taxes
- Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, and levies
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
- Stay up to date with changing payroll regulations and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations
Requirements:
4 years of payroll processing experience
Strong knowledge of payroll principles, taxes, and regulations
Experience with payroll software and systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; degree in accounting or related field preferred
