Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide primary care services to patients of all ages, focusing on delivering high-quality and comprehensive healthcare. Your expertise in various medical procedures and patient care will be essential in ensuring the well-being of our patients.
The dermatology nurse practitioner—an advanced practice role—is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating common dermatological disorders such as psoriasis, dermatitis, or eczema and dermatological infections such as those caused by viruses, fungi, or bacteria.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
- Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests as needed
- Prescribe medications and provide appropriate follow-up care
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation
- Strong knowledge of primary care practices and procedures
- Experience in dementia care, infant care, dialysis, emergency room (ER) settings, airway management, catheterization, and venipuncture
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) usage and maintenance
Requirements:
-A master’s degree and Nurse Practitioner certification are required; for certification as a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner, a minimum of 3,000 hours of practice in dermatology and Nurse Practitioner certification are required.
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in [state]
