Summary
The BDC Representative / Cashier position coordinates and monitors the activity of the dealership with a concentration on the service department and office to ensure customer satisfaction. Focus on inbound and outbound calls. Schedules service appointments and follows up with customers. Must present a professional tone and appearance.
Job Responsibilities:
· Responsible for receiving, processing, verifying, and distributing information from both inbound and outbound calls, to include but not limited to inquiries on service appointments, new and pre-owned vehicles, internet leads, and providing general information to dealership associates and guests.
· Set up, schedule and monitor service department appointments. Follow up and reschedule missed or late service appointments.
· Make follow up phone calls to previous day service customers to ensure complete satisfaction and discuss the importance of responding to CSI surveys.
· Handle all guest inquiries with a focus on 100% guest satisfaction.
· Bring all customer concerns and complaints to the attention of the Service Manager.
· Make phone calls to current open recall customers.
· Collect payments by accepting cash, check, or card from guests and makes change for cash customers. Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver’s license number and operating credit card authorization system. Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.
· Communicate professionally via phone and email.
· Follow all policies and procedures set forth in Employee Handbook.
· Develop and utilize detailed scripts in addressing guest inquiries and concerns to meet the dealership and manufactures objectives.
· Maintain and communicate basic knowledge of product and current manufacturer offers/incentives for Sales and Service to field guest questions.
· Gather and track all guest data as directed; accurately enter into BDC database.
· Communicate with the dealership management or front-line employees on behalf of our guests.
· Assist office or human resources in other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Highschool diploma or GED
· 2 years of customer service required
· Proficient in basic math.
· Critical thinking skills and professional judgement
· Outgoing, upbeat personality with excellent interpersonal skills with desire to provide next level customer service.
· Self-starter attitude who is internally motivated to achieve established performance goals is a must!
· Exceptional oral and written communication skills
