We are currently seeking a Lead Supervisor for Environmental Services and Engineering to join our team! The Lead Supervisor of Environmental Services and Engineering is responsible in assisting with the upkeep and repairs of the building and outside grounds of the facility.

This includes, but may not be limited to, mechanical equipment, HVAC systems, interior finishes, general routine repairs, emergency repairs, plumbing systems and their related equipment, furniture, fire alarm systems, nurses call systems, electrical equipment, new construction, and remodeling of existing areas.

This position is also responsible for assisting with the coordination of housekeeping in the building. This includes sanitation and scheduled / non-scheduled cleaning of all public and non-public areas and resident apartments.

This includes coordination of housekeeping staff, daily inspections, and development / implementation of preventative and responsive cleaning programs cleaning systems.

The position is also a backup for transportation, and may require driving facility vehicles to transport tenants.

Essential Qualifications :

• High school graduate, valid Ohio Driver’s License, and 3 years minimum experience in general building maintenance.
• Sensitivity to senior adults and their needs.
• Ability to read blueprints and have a working knowledge of construction trades and building codes.
• Ability to establish accurate quotations for capital projects.
• Must be able to work within and track and maintain a budget.
• Must be able to prioritize work orders.
• Must be able to work in excess of 40 hours per week.
• Be able to develop policies and procedures related to operation.
• Be familiar with proper use of all types of hand and power tools.

Essential Job Functions :

• Assist in coordinating daily staff assignments
• Responding to resident / staff work orders / emergencies.
• Ensure preventative maintenance programs are kept up to date.
• Monitoring HVAC and emergency generator.
• Make routine inspections of all facility areas.
• On call as needed.
• Work hand-in-hand with other departments and staff in completing capital projects.
• Purchase necessary supplies for the operation of the facility, as instructed by Director.
• Painting all areas.
• Do daily inspections of all public areas, cleaning and correcting problems.
• Keep the environment of facility clean and hazard free.
• Ensure all inspections are completed and turned in on time.
• Assist staff as needed.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are clean available and properly stored.
• Assist with laundry supply and storage.
• Inspect building daily for proper lighting, wallpaper tears, etc.; report to Director, and correct problem.
• Assure smooth operation of departments with the absence of Director.
• Ensure turnaround time for empty apartments in 3 days.
• Ensure that Resident’s Bill of Rights are maintained and advocated.
• Respond to resident complaints and emergencies in a timely way.
• All other duties as assigned by Director of Environmental Services and Engineering.
• Assist with snow removal of sidewalks and entrances.
• Trash removal from collection rooms.
